It all starts with you

Our personal approach and personalized service centres on you, and it begins with getting to know you, your needs, and your goals.

What we do

We begin with a comprehensive financial plan that defines your goals and provides framework for every recommendation we make. This plan takes into consideration your goals, tax strategies, cash flow, risk management, and estate considerations. From there, we design investment portfolios to meet your needs, both now and in the future, with a disciplined process to help keep you on track. Whether your goal is growing wealth, generating income, minimizing taxes or planning for retirement, we tailor investment solutions to your circumstances. Before recommending anything, we review your situation in depth, define your risk tolerance, and set realistic long-term objectives aligned with your comfort level. Depending on your needs, we may also connect you with our network of RBC specialists—in areas like insurance, estate planning and business planning—to ensure that every financial need and life stage is well planned for.

How we do it

Our six-step portfolio process is designed to keep your investments working toward your goals at every stage.

1. Discovery and Clarity: The first meeting focuses on understanding the client's goals, concerns, family situation, financial picture, and what they want their money to accomplish. It sets the foundation for every recommendation that follows and establishes whether there is a good mutual fit.

2. Data Gathering and Analysis: Once the relationship moves forward, detailed information is collected: assets, liabilities, income, expenses, insurance, estate documents, and existing investment strategies.

3. Financial Planning and Scenario Modelling: A comprehensive plan built to show retirement projections, tax considerations, cash-flow expectations, risk management needs, and estate implications. Different scenarios are test so the client ca see how choices affect long-term outcomes. This plan becomes the roadmap for the investment strategy.

4. Investment Strategy and Portfolio Design: With the plan in place, the portfolio is constructed to match the client's goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and tax situation. This includes asset allocation, investment selection, and any specialized strategies such as income planning, corporate structures, or trusts.

5. Implementation and Coordination: Account and opened or transferred, investments are placed, and any planning recommendations - such as insurance, tax strategies, or estate updates - are coordinated with subject matter experts from RBC Family Office Services. This step ensures the strategy moves from paper to action smoothly and efficiently.

6. Ongoing Review and Adjustments: Regular meetings track progress, update the financial plan, review portfolio performance, and adjust for changes in markets or in the client's life. This keep the strategy aligned with evolving goals and ensures the client always knows where they stand.
