"Since inception at RBC, Pam and her team have achieved stellar results for my personal investments as well as my company's investments. Pam is always responsive and takes exceptional care to invest my funds according to the guidelines I set down."
Our team combines extensive industry experience with a global investment mindset. We understand diverse client needs—from entrepreneurs to families to institutions—and deliver personalized strategies that turn complexity into confidence.
The Pamela Yoon Group’s private client wealth management practice helps families achieve their financial goals. Our client’s lives are unique and so is our service and advice. Partnering with your family, we do a deep discovery into your specific goals and desires. We then leverage our experience and resources to build a comprehensive solution designed specifically for you.
Understanding what financial success means to each client is the foundation of our long-term partnership. We take the time to explore your aspirations, whether it’s preserving wealth, growing assets, or creating a legacy. By aligning our strategy with your personal and financial goals, we ensure a customized approach that reflects your unique definition of success.
High net-worth individuals require a comprehensive strategy that goes beyond investment management. Our integrated financial plan encompasses estate planning, tax efficiency, philanthropy, cross-border tax & wealth planning and business succession to optimize every aspect of your financial life. By coordinating with legal and tax professionals, we deliver a seamless, holistic approach to wealth preservation and growth.
A one-size-fits-all investment solution does not work for sophisticated investors with complex financial needs. We develop a tailored investment framework that considers your risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and long-term objectives. By leveraging diversified asset classes and alternative investments, we build portfolios designed to enhance returns while managing downside risks.
Constructing a portfolio requires a balance of strategic asset allocation and tactical flexibility. We integrate equities, fixed income, commodities, and alternative investments to build a resilient portfolio designed to fulfil our clients’ financial goals. Our focus is on optimizing returns while mitigating risks, ensuring your wealth is positioned for both stability and growth.
Proactive risk management is crucial for safeguarding wealth in an ever-changing market. We continuously monitor portfolios, adjusting allocations to capitalize on opportunities and hedge against potential threats. With active oversight, we provide clients with confidence that their wealth is being managed with precision and foresight.
At The Pamela Yoon Group we help Institutions and Foundations meet their unique investment and Fiduciary requirements. We work closely with our clients building tailored Investment Policy Statements (IPS), advising on portfolio construction, asset class monitoring, benchmarking, risk management, and establishing governance best practices.
Our clients include family offices, foundations, charities, endowments, and Indigenous organizations.
Our approach to working with our clients include:
Simplicity – One relationship, many services
We significantly limit the use of pooled products in client portfolios, instead using Separately Managed Accounts (SMA). This is important because clients are the legal owners of the individual securities they own. They are not unit holders of a pooled product, which can be affected by the redemption decisions or influences of other investors in the pool and bring legal complications.
Efficiency – Customized solutions leveraging RBC’s global scale
Objectivity – Fiduciary mentality
Our four-step portfolio process is designed to keep your investments working toward your goals at every stage.
We start with a discovery meeting, where we take the time to understand your needs, goals, time horizon and risk tolerance. T
hen we develop an Investment Policy Statement—the guiding principles for how your portfolio will be managed.
With that foundation, we build your personalized portfolio with the right balance of stocks, bonds and cash, in collaboration with the firm’s investment strategists and research analysts.
Finally, through ongoing monitoring and reviewing, we keep a close eye on your portfolio, making adjustments as needed so it continues to align with your objectives in changing market conditions.

The August 2021 episode of Fill the Gap shines a light on the vitality of technical analysis not often on display in broader financial media. Learn how client advisors use technical analysis to improve portfolio risk management, strengthen the investment process and supplement client education in this engaging conversation with Pamela Yoon, CMT & Senior Portfolio Manager at RBC Dominion Securities in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
An investment management veteran with over 30 years of experience, Pam has guided a wide range of investors through many bull and bear markets. We discuss her process in detail to better understand how she manages concentrated, high-conviction global portfolios, while always controlling risk. As a tactical portfolio manager, Pam blends a unique mix of technical tools and analytical methods into her process. The conversation also touches on how cognitive neuroscience literature relates directly to the contrarian positioning often required by disciplined active managers who respond to the evidence of market price.* *
