Some of life's greatest lessons come from the challenges we never expect to face—and long before helping clients navigate uncertainty, Collin Zwickel learned what it meant to face it himself. Through setbacks, recovery and achievements that once seemed unimaginable, he developed a deep appreciation for the power of taking one step forward even when the path isn’t clear. That perspective shapes everything about how he works today. For Collin, clients are more than the people he serves—they’re families he stays close to and supports through every stage of their financial lives.
“I know what it means when someone shows up for you at the right time. You don’t always realize the impact you can have on a kid, but it stays with them long after. That’s what Happy Kids Foundation is about. Showing up for kids who need it most and doing something big enough to actually move the needle. One mile at a time.”
—Collin Zwickel, Senior Investment & Wealth Advisor
When Collin reached a point in his career where he felt he had the ability to create real change, he didn’t just want to write a cheque. Instead, he wanted to build something that could last. Inspired by the Japanese concept of Misogi, he took on one incredibly difficult challenge each year that had a real chance of failure. By pushing the limits of what is mentally and physically possible, Collin has turned personal resilience into a driving force for meaningful change. With 100% of proceeds going to local charities that support the health and well-being of children, the challenges have already raised over $200,000, with the goal of reaching $1 million.

In 2023, he completed his first milestone event: running three back-to-back marathons from Vancouver to Whistler, covering over 125 kilometres and 2,200 metres of elevation over 18 hours straight.
In 2024, he took on the Great World Race: seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.

Collin was also recognized at the 2024 Zajac Nights Gala with the “Raising the Bar” award for his fundraising efforts and commitment to supporting children in need across British Columbia.

The Happy Kids Foundation channels extraordinary endurance challenges into direct support for children in British Columbia.
The Zajac Ranch is a fully inclusive summer camp that prioritizes accessibility for children with medical conditions and disabilities.
Backpack Buddies delivers bags of food to thousands of British Columbia’s most vulnerable children, ensuring they have the meals and snacks they need to last the weekend.

“Collin reached out to me over the phone – I normally don’t take calls but I’m glad I took this one. He caught me at the right time as I was transitioning out of my business.
