Our Goal

Provide a long-term relationship which provides portfolio management and planning solutions to address client needs. With strong analytical capabilities and the ability to generate creative solutions The Harris-Lowe Group provides our clients with the confidence and time to focus on non-financial matters that are equally important.

Our Promise to You: The Harris-Lowe Group will execute on our beliefs and goals.

Our Three Phase Approach

Our Three Phase Approach: 1. Wealth Management

1. Wealth Management.  We want to make sure you have reviewed and established the following:

Financial Projection

Are you on track to enjoy the retirement you want? Have you put strategies in place to nullify negative events that are out of your control, health or financial?  A financial projection will identify risks to be considered and minimum long-term returns you need to achieve in order to meet your goals and priorities.

Will and Estate Review

Laws change and circumstances change.  Does your will reflect those changes?  Our in-house legal expert would meet with you to make sure your wills and power of attorney for health and financial are up to date.

Investment Policy Statement (IPS)

Do you know how your portfolio is managed?  Do you understand your advisor’s strategy?  Do you understand how your Financial Projection, Will and Estate Review, actual management of your investments are tied together?  The IPS provides the guidelines tying these documents together.

Insurance Review

Are you able to generate liquidity in the event of death or disability?  Would you prefer to eliminate the estate tax burden with pennies on the dollar?  Are you interested in generating a guaranteed income stream that is greater than what you can get from GICs?  Do you still want to make sure your capital is protected?  An insurance review will allow you to determine if there is a fit for you.

Our Three Phase Approach: 2. Money Management

2. Money Management: 4 Pillars to Build Your Own Pension

The Harris-Lowe Group has identified and designed strategies to replicate the four pillars of pension fund management. These include the following:

Fixed Income

The HL Group “Juiced GIC” strategy has outperformed a 5yr Laddered GIC portfolio over any five-year timeframe since 2006.

Canadian Equity

The HL Group has two proprietary strategies, dividend and growth. Both strategies have generated strong, competitive returns since 2006. Both strategies have a robust risk-management overlay.

Global Equity

Global comprises anything outside of Canada. The HL Group has two proprietary strategies, dividend, and growth.  The Global Dividend has consistently generated strong returns. Like the Canadian strategies, the Global strategies have a robust risk-management overlay.

Alternative Strategy

Consists of hedge funds, private equity, real estate and infrastructure, and gold.  The alternative sleeve has been proven to generate positive returns when other strategies are experiencing negative pressure.  Aspects of this strategy are only available to people who qualify under the “Sophisticated Investor” rule.  Working with the Harris-Lowe Group means all clients qualify.

Clients working with the Harris-Lowe Group have the ability to understand how these four pillars behave and affect their risk and return expectations. Harris-Lowe Group clients have the ability to design their own Pension Plan.

Our Three Phase Approach: 3. Relationship Management

3. Relationship Management.  A positive client relationship begins with service.  We are dedicated to making sure client administrative needs are met in a comprehensive and timely manner.  This includes:

    1. Accounts are operating properly.
    2. Online access is easily understood.
    3. Cashflow requirements are tailored to your needs.
    4. Wealth management objectives are up to date.
    5. Manage your portfolio in a timely and effective manner.
    6. Anything else that comes up.

Investing in Community. Investing in the Future.

Community involvement is central to the Harris-Lowe Group's commitment to excellence and relationship building. Just as managing money is a privilege that must be earned, so too is being a trusted member of the communities we serve. By investing time and resources in community initiatives, we demonstrate that our values extend beyond financial services—we're committed to building stronger, more prosperous neighborhoods. This involvement reflects our belief that success is measured not just by portfolio returns, but by the positive impact we create in the lives of our clients and the broader communities around us. Community engagement reinforces the trust and long-term relationships that are fundamental to who we are.

Partnering for Community Prosperity

Giving Back on Giving Tuesday 💙

This past Giving Tuesday, our community came together in an incredible display of generosity and impactful volunteerism to support the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Team RBC and the Harris‑Lowe Group for rolled up their sleeves, championing the cause, and helping raise funds for life‑saving medical equipment that will support patients and families close to home. Their leadership in community involvement inspired others to step forward, donate, and volunteer.

From greeting donors to topping up washer fluid, every act of kindness made a difference. This is what true community spirit looks like — neighbors, local businesses, and volunteers working together to strengthen local healthcare.

Creating Positive Impact Where We Live and Work - Auxiliary to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Jan 2026

Building Stronger Communities Together

What a fantastic day of event support and community service with the Auxiliary to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital at the annual Polar Plunge! ❄️💙

Braving the cold may not be for everyone, but cheering on those who took the icy dip — while serving up hot chocolate and cookies — was a perfect way to keep spirits high and hearts warm.

It’s always inspiring to see our community come together in the name of civic engagement and giving back. A big thank you to all the volunteers, participants, and supporters who made this chilly day such a success! ☕🍪💪

Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation - Angles of Care

Angels of Care

Let me start by addressing the elephant in the room: volunteering doesn't have to feel like a chore. We genuinely look forward to my shifts. The team is incredible—we laugh, we celebrate wins together, and there's this amazing energy that comes from working alongside people who are just as passionate about the cause as you are.

Whether we're organizing community events, chatting with donors, or staffing information tables, there's always something happening. And the best part? You meet amazing people from all walks of life, all united by one goal. That camaraderie is something you don't get everywhere.

Every dollar raised through Angels of Care goes directly toward purchasing life-saving medical equipment for Campbellford Memorial Hospital. We're talking about the kind of technology that literally saves lives—advanced diagnostic tools, monitoring systems, and treatment devices that our healthcare professionals desperately need.

Asphodel/Norwood Food Bank

The Hidden Reward of Serving Others

There's something genuinely special about walking into the Norwood Food Bank and knowing your efforts will directly impact your community. Whether you're sorting donations, packing boxes, or helping clients navigate services, every task carries real purpose. The smiles, gratitude, and sense of camaraderie among volunteers create an atmosphere that's not just meaningful—it's genuinely fun and energizing.

One City Peterborough

Making a Difference

Walking through the doors of One City, we were immediately struck by the sense of purpose that fills the space. Working alongside our retail partners, we helped sort, organize, and distribute essential items to those in need. What could have felt like routine tasks became deeply meaningful when we thought about the families and individuals who would benefit from our efforts.

There's an undeniable fulfillment that comes from direct service. Every item we organized, every shelf we stocked represented tangible support for someone facing hardship. It's a reminder that beyond our day-to-day roles at RBC, we have the power to create positive change in the lives of our neighbors.

Butterfly Run: April 2026

Beyond the Office

We had the opportunity to volunteer in preparation for the Butterfly Run.

The Butterfly Run represents something incredibly meaningful -supporting families and children through some of life's most difficult moments, and reminding them they're not alone. It's a small task, but a powerful example of what community looks like when people come together for a cause that truly matters.

Grateful to be a small part of it!

Cystic Fibrosis Walk May 31,2026

Cystic Fibrosis Walk 2026 – A Day of Community Spirit

Join us in celebrating an incredible day of hope and determination! On May 31st, 2026, the Cystic Fibrosis Walk at Nichols Oval Park brought together an amazing community united by a powerful cause. The energy was absolutely electric, with participants and volunteers coming together to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis. With a turnout that surpassed last year's inspiring numbers, we proved once again that when we come together, we can achieve remarkable things. Whether you walked, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines, you were part of something truly special. We extend special thanks to Maureen and Kathryn Harris-Lowe for co-chairing this year's event with such dedication and enthusiasm. Thank you to everyone who made this year's event unforgettable – your compassion and commitment continue to fuel hope and advance the fight against CF!
