It all starts with you

Our personal approach and personalized service centres on you, and it begins with getting to know you, your needs, and your goals.

What we do

We design investment portfolios to meet your needs, both now and in the future, with a disciplined process to help keep you on track. Whether your goal is growing wealth, generating income, minimizing taxes or planning for retirement, we tailor solutions to your circumstances. Before recommending anything, we review your situation in depth, define your risk tolerance, and set realistic long-term objectives aligned with your comfort level. Depending on your needs, we may also connect you with our network of RBC specialists—in areas like insurance, estate planning and business planning—to ensure that every financial need and life stage is well planned for.

How we do it

Our four-step portfolio process is designed to keep your investments working toward your goals at every stage. We start with a discovery meeting, where we take the time to understand your needs, goals, time horizon and risk tolerance. Then we develop an Investment Policy Statement—the guiding principles for how your portfolio will be managed. With that foundation, we build your personalized portfolio with the right balance of stocks, bonds and cash, in collaboration with the firm’s investment strategists and research analysts. Finally, through ongoing monitoring and reviewing, we keep a close eye on your portfolio, making adjustments as needed so it continues to align with your objectives in changing market conditions.

How we serve your wealth in its entirety

Our full-service offering integrates disciplined portfolio management with comprehensive wealth planning—all supported by experienced specialists throughout our robust RBC network.

Taking a responsible approach to your investments

There are many ways to grow wealth. Our focus is on doing so in a way that benefits our clients, our society, and our planet. Your investments are made for the long term – to help serve your individual goals as well as to sustainably support the generations to come. We offer a flexible responsible investing approach that is integrated, and can be targeted, thematic, and impactful.

Integrated

As a baseline, one of the filters through which we vet any investment is ESG. Short for environmental, social, and governance, this auto-integrated screen focuses on environmental sustainability, social issues, as well as equality and equity in corporate governance.

Targeted

To align with your values, as we build and manage your personalized portfolio, we can screen in investments that drive positive impact – such as social housing, renewable energy, and human rights – and we can screen out those that may be considered negative – be it tobacco, alcohol, or weapons.

Thematic

For clients who are passionate about one specific issue or cause – for instance, climate change or gender equity – we have the capability to align all investment decisions with one or more responsible investing themes of your choice.

Impactful

Traditionally, investments are measured against risk tolerance and return objectives. For interested clients, we can add a third dimension: impact. This added parameter gives weight to the measurable social or environmental impact of a given portfolio holding.
